Bushcraft – Scotland 2008

In June 2008 we went, together with René and Beke of EXTRA SURVIVAL  to the woods of ‘Dumfries & Galloway Forest Park’ (vincinity of Newton Stewart – Southwest Schotland) to put all the “bushcraft theory” into practice.

For a week, we lived far away from “civilization” and in balance with nature in the Scottish Highlands.

We practiced: working with an axe knots and applications setting up a basecamp making all sorts of fire bow and hand drill shelters from natural materials sleeping without sleeping traps and snares night fishing with lines hooks of natural materials cooking techniques if we can handle a whole deer edible and medicinal plants wildlife observation and stalking tracking torches and candles making bannocks collecting meals from nature
